Pitch & Span is built to be used without an account. This policy explains what little data touches our systems, and what stays entirely in your own browser.
What we don't collect
- No account or sign-up exists on this site.
- No calculator input (span, pitch, cost figures, job names) is ever sent to our servers — every calculation runs entirely in your browser.
- We do not sell personal data, because we do not collect enough of it to sell.
What's stored locally in your browser
Some calculators use your browser's localStorage to remember
your preferred units (imperial/metric) and your last few results, purely so you don't have to
re-enter them. This data never leaves your device and is not visible to us in any form.
Cookies and analytics
A cookie banner lets you choose "Essential only" or "Allow analytics & ads." Essential cookies are limited to remembering that choice itself. If analytics or advertising are enabled on this site (via a provider such as Google AdSense or a similar network), those providers may set their own cookies to measure traffic or serve ads, governed by their own privacy policies. We do not currently combine that data with anything that identifies you personally.
Third-party services
This site may use a privacy-respecting web analytics service to understand aggregate traffic (which pages are visited, not who visits them), and may show display advertising once analytics or ad networks are enabled. Any such provider is named here as soon as it's active.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience construction reference tool, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will show the cookie banner again on your next visit. You can clear your saved units and recent results the same way, or via your browser's site data settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example, when a specific analytics or advertising provider is enabled — we'll update the date at the top of this page.
